We met at Aalborg University, while pursuing a Master’s degree in Hydrogen technologies and process Engineering. Very early, we started working together on university projects.

Encouranged by one of our favourite professors, we started working on a project to design a fully autonomous energy community in Lingen, Germany.

To our surprise, there were loads of simple questions that lack precise answers.

• How much does an installed hydrogen system cost?
• How do you size and operate such system?
• What is the manufacturing cost of a hydrogen fuel cell?

Then, tired of cricket sounds, we started crafting a software that could answer them.

That was the beginning of Elysium Energy, and since then: 

• We defended our Master Thesis (“Modelling of stand alone micro-grid using hybrid energy storage”) together with our colleague Pedro Carvalho. 
• We participated and won the Nordic Energy Challenge 2023, meeting brilliant people in the energy storage sector.
• We purchased a Power-UP fuel cell to power a remote norwegian farm.
• Entered the Innovation Fund Denmark program.

Our focus is on reducing the uncertainty around the end-cost of a hydrogen installation. Our software brings the expertise we gained and continue obtaining from industry, academia and financial experts.
